Routine mass spectrometry analyses are undertaken to quickly confirm the molecular weight of a molecule. Samples may be analysed using a variety of techniques including atmospheric pressure ionisation (ESI/APCI), electron/chemical ionisation or MALDI-TOF.
Once a sample has been received it may be logged in via RemoteAnalyzer, the web based sample submission and data viewing platform (external users will need to contact us to register) or manually via a mass spectrometrist. No chromatography is performed during these analyses, so acquisition times are short, keeping costs minimal.
