Mark obtained a BSc in applied geochemistry from the University of Greenwich in 1994 and then moved to Cardiff where he completed his PhD (Crystallography) in 1997. A stint working for the National Crystallography Service in Cardiff and then Southampton followed and in 2004 Mark was appointed manger of the Southampton X-ray diffraction facilities.
Mark’s expertise lies in structure solution from single crystal X-ray diffraction, powder diffraction and the interface between the two.
