Since January 2019, Peter has been working as a research assistant for the project ‘Addressing the Gender Pay Gap: International, European & Comparative Approaches’. He has also recently presented a conference paper on diversification in the banking industry at the Academy of Management conference. Since his PhD, Peter has been a Research Fellow in Accounting & Governance at the Southampton Business School. His research focus has been on the valuation of human capital, encompassing analysis of human capital reporting in the UK and Sri Lanka. Peter also organised a stakeholder engagement workshop with external partners Aviva Investors and the Living Wage Foundation to gather qualitative data to support Economic & Social Research Council-funded research into the UK living wage campaign and its impact on company valuation. A further research interest is the impact on stock market valuations of companies reporting environmental disclosures under the Carbon Disclosure Project charity guidelines.
