Prof Russell Sandberg,Cardiff University,Professor Russell Sandberg specialises in Law and Religion and Legal History. In recent years his research has focused on the relationship between religion and Family Law and upon interdisciplinary approaches to Law. His research, which has been cited by the UK Supreme Court and the Equality and Human Rights Commission, has included an empirical study, Social Cohesion and Civil Law, into the operation of religious tribunals in Britain.

Dr Katie Hunt,University of Lincoln,Dr Katie Hunt is a legal scholar and award-winning researcher who joined Lincoln Law School in August 2019 as a Lecturer in Law. Katie was awarded her PhD in Law from a Russell Group university in January 2020. Her doctoral research on 'grief without God' is an empirical study investigating non-religious prisoners' access to pastoral care and bereavement support through the lens of the Equality Act 2010. Katie publishes on bereavement in prison and does public engagement work on LGBTQ issues. Her research interests include criminal law and criminal justice, queer and feminist theory, and racial and religious equality.
