Acoustical engineering: Beyond the mixing desk

Acoustical Engineers make the world sound better

Sound and Vibration

Acoustical Engineering is one of the most diverse and in-demand fields of engineering, but also one of the least known. Acoustical Engineers design superior concert halls, quieter jet engines, more realistic sound systems, clearer ultrasound scans, better underwater communication systems and much more. This talk shows how acoustical engineers combine physical insight, understanding of people’s needs, creativity and technology to make the world sound better.

Why this is important

The world needs more engineers and this talk highlights a discipline that is often misunderstood.
