British Association for Victorian Studies funding for Southampton Centre for Nineteenth-Century Research
The British Association for Victorian Studies has approved an application for funding towards the one-day conference, Uneasy Neighbours?: Rural-Urban Relationships in the Nineteenth Century which will be held on 20 September, 2013.
The grant of £400, the maximum available under the scheme, will be used to support postgraduates contributing to the event. The conference is set to host some 30 papers presented by an international gathering of delegates with the keynote address being given by Keith D. M. Snell, Professor of Rural and Cultural History at the University of Leicester.
