SCNR member Professor Emma Clery wins prestigious book prize
We offer our sincere congratulations to Professor Emma Clery, who has been awarded the prestigious Rose Mary Crawshay Prize from the British Academy for her book Eighteen Hundred and Eleven: Poetry, Protest and Economic Crisis (Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, 2017). The international prize, founded in 1888, is given annually to the best work in the field of English literature by a woman. Emma joins Dame Hermione Lee and Dame Marina Warner on the long and illustrious list of past winners. Details of the prize-wining book are available here.
