Student Chapter representative at SIAM annual meeting

Our chapter has the possibility to nominate a member as a representative at the 2018 SIAM Annual Meetings held in Portland, Oregon, July 9-13. In case you are interested, get in contact with us. Details are below.

Student representatives are eligible for reimbursement of expenses up to $700. The following rules apply:

• The Chapter Representative MUST be a member of SIAM. Note that every member of our chapter is eligible for free SIAM membership.
• The Chapter Representative is required to attend the Student Orientation from 5-6PM on Sunday, July 8th and the Student Chapter Meeting with SIAM Leadership from 7-8:15AM on Tuesday, July 10th.
• Expenses will be reimbursed several weeks after the conclusion of the conference.
• The Chapter Representative must be nominated til the 7th of June.
• Some information about the VISA: If you are traveling from outside the United States, please be aware of information regarding visas: International attendees at conferences in the US may already be aware that there have been changes to the visa program for scientific visitors, which affect even people from visa waiver countries. As of January 12, 2009, a valid ESTA approval is required for all Visa Waiver Program (VWP) to travel to the United States.
