Zoe Soo

My name is Zoe (Yiwen Soo) and I am currently a BM5 3rd year medical student. I am a keen pianist and enjoy doing voluntary work, such as for the British Red Cross and Save a Baby's Life.

I initially joined INSPIRE to learn more about academic medicine and ways to be involved in research while at medical school as well as later on in my career. This year, I am in charge of organising INSPIRE's monthly research taster sessions which invites researchers from the university to speak to students about their exciting research and career. My goal is to encourage and motivate more students to involve research in their future careers and to understand and appreciate the benefits of and contributions research brings to everyday clinical medicine.
