Vice President

Hi, I'm Charlotte and I'm Vice President for this year!

I have joined SIAS as I am interested in pursuing a career in academic medicine. I massively enjoyed my BMedSc research project and this has led me to do the MMedSc intercalated year, which I am currently embarking on.

I find the role of research, in the advancing world of medicine, incredibly fascinating. I want to help other students to be inspired and increase their knowledge of research and academia in clinical practise. I also hope to increase my knowledge how to approach an academic career and what it would entail. I hope to go into anaesthetics with a view to working in intensive care. I am currently undertaking research with the team on the paediatric intensive care unit – which has been a brilliant learning opportunity!
