Social Impact Lab chosen to co-host an international conference on social entrepreneurship
The Social Impact Lab and the University of Southampton have been chosen to co-host an international conference on social entrepreneurship in higher education, as part of a new British Council India initiative.
Southampton and two Indian universities - SP Jain and the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM) - were awarded £30,000 by British Council India to deliver the conference as part of a wider plan to build links between institutions in the UK and India around best practice in social entrepreneurship teaching.
The conference will take place from 22nd - 23rd April 2016 at IITM and will include a number of masterclasses, workshops and field visits for delegates from universities in both countries, as well as the representing the official launch for a longer term social entrepreneurship in higher education network.
