Kat Seager 3rd Year Graphic Design

Kat was selected to represent the University of Southampton at the Ryerson Social xCHANGE in Toronto, Canada:

"The xchange has been such an eye opener, it's shown me aspects of social innovation and entrepreneurship that I had never considered before. Working with Ryerson uni has definitely helped improve my communication skills, and having my idea be chosen in a group of people I hadn't met before meant a lot and definitely encouraged me to speak my mind a lot more.

The idea we had evolved as it should and we eventually got to a good place where we could see our idea making a simple yet necessary impact on the environment.

Although we didn't win we got an honourable mention which meant a lot, and only helped me recognise how much I want to pursue my own social innovation venture. I'm so grateful for this opportunity and it couldn't have been a better week for me!"
