Entry requirements

Foundation year entry requirements
If you do not have the traditional entry requirements for our undergraduate courses, you may be able to qualify by doing one of our foundation programmes first. To find out more, visit our foundation years page or contact the International Office team.
Undergraduate entry requirements
To be considered for a place on one of our undergraduate (bachelors) degrees, you will need:
| High grades of above 70% in their 3-year bachelor degree of science, arts or commerce in Bangladesh |
| Completion of a foundation year in the UK |
Postgraduate entry requirements
| MSc/ MA/ LLM |
A relevant masters degree at minimum 70% with a bachelors degree of at least 3 years UK 1st degree equivalent: 3.5; 3.2 depending on awarding institution |
| MSc Engineering |
A masters degree at minimum 60% with a bachelors degree of at least 3 years UK 1st degree equivalent: 3.5; 3.2 depending on awarding institution |
| PhD programmes |
3 year honours degree or 4 year engineering degree with a 1-2 year masters degree UK 1st degree equivalent: 3.5; 3.2 depending on awarding institution |

The Bangladeshi student community
We are pleased to welcome students from Bangladesh to the University each year. In 2016/17 we have 6 Bangladeshi students studying with us.
Student-run clubs and societies
Getting involved in clubs and societies is a great way to meet other students from your country and from around the world. There are many societies run by the University's Students' Union (SUSU) for different interests, religions, sports and academic groups. You may be interested in joining the Southampton University Asian Cultural Society (Facebook log in required).
