Studying Lifecourse Obesity PrEdictors (SLOPE) Study

Ongoing projects

1) Interpregnancy weight gain and Large for Gestational Age births

In this analysis, we aim to investigate the association between the incidence of large-for-gestational age (LGA), recurrent LGA and ‘new’ LGA births in the second pregnancy and maternal change in BMI between the first and second pregnancies.

2) Socioeconomic inequalities in Small for Gestational Age births

In this analysis, we are investigating the extent of socioeconomic inequalities in the rates of small-for-gestational-age (SGA) births within the maternity data.

3) Childhood obesity prediction models

In this analysis, we aim to create a series of models which predict childhood overweight and obesity from information collected at booking (~10 weeks pregnant), birth, in the first year of life and in the second year of life.
