Hi, I'm Stylianos Kyrimis and I am studying within the Southampton Marine and Maritime Institute, University of Southampton.

The current impact of the climate change induced phenomena, and the severity of those yet to come, must serve as a message for us to accelerate humanity’s transition towards a renewable and sustainable future.

The catalytic CO2 conversion into methanol has been widely studied in the past. This reaction though takes place at high temperatures and pressures, which increase the cost of the required equipment. In an attempt to optimize the reaction setup to achieve better results at more convenient conditions, a computational fluid dynamics model will be developed.

PhD Supervisors: Dr Lindsay-Marie Armstrong, Professor Robert Raja
