Dr Alastair Brown is a Visiting Researcher within Ocean and Earth Science, National Oceanography Centre Southampton at the University of Southampton.

Research interests

I aspire to reveal physiological influences on the distribution of marine organisms and aim to develop wider understanding of environmental factors influencing adaptation in marine fauna over evolutionary time periods. As part of the MIDAS project, I am investigating ecotoxicological risks to deep-sea fauna posed by deep-sea mineral extraction.
