I received my BEng degree in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon in 2004. I then moved to the UK where I received an MSc in Radio Frequency Communication Systems and PhD in Wireless Communications both from the University of Southampton in 2005 and 2008, respectively.

Following the PhD, I joined Imagination Technologies where I worked on designing Imagination's multi-standard communications platform , which resulted in three patents.

In January 2012, I joined the Wireless Group in the department of Electronics and Computer Science in the University of Southampton, where I am currently an Associate Professor. I am the recipient of several academic awards including the IEEE ICC2010 Best Paper Award and have published a Wiley-IEEE book and in excess of 70 journal and international conference papers. My research interests include energy-efficient transceiver design, machine-to-machine communications, Radio over fibre, mm-wave communication systems and multi-functional MIMO systems.

If you would like to join our expanding team as a PhD student, please feel free to contact me for discussing opportunities.
