Campbell Adamson Memorial Prize for the best paper presented to the National Council of Voluntary Organisations/Voluntary Sector Studies Network conference

Alice Mills and Rosie Meek, both lectures in the Division of Sociology and Social Policy, who are working with Dina Gojkovic on the Third Sector Research Centres (TSRC) Criminal Justice team, received the prize for best paper at the NCVO/ VSSN research conference. Alice presented their paper, which examined the relationship between the state and the voluntary sector in criminal justice. The paper explored the impact of recent developments on relationships between third sector and criminal justice personnel, the fairness of competition and the sector’s critical voice.

More information about their ongoing research project, as well as their first working paper and the conference paper, can be found on the TSRC website.
