Sociology professor leads Big Society debates

Published: 10 March 2011

Professor Bernard Harris, of the History of Social Policy, participated in a seminar at the London School of Economics on the relationship between history, contemporary social policy and the 'Big Society'.

Bernard also organised a session on the history of voluntary action and its implications for the 'Big Society' at the Annual Conference of the Economic History Society at the beginning of April. He gave a lecture on this topic at a special meeting of the Voluntary Action History Society later in the month.
