End 'idle chatter' about revolution
In an open letter to Russell Brand, University of Southampton Sociology lecturer Pathik Pathak analyses his 'fiery tirade against the UK's democratic system' on BBC TV's Newsnight.
Dr Pathik offers the observation: 'Revolutionary talk such as yours generates a lot of heat but precious little light. It’s easy to ignite an incendiary fuse, but much harder to ditch the romanticism of revolution for something real and achievable'. He encourages the celebrity to consider the power of disruptive entrepreneurs to achieve change from the inside.
