Miss Shibei Ni is a postgraduate research student in Sociology, Social Policy and Criminology at the University of Southampton.

I studied as an undergraduate student of Labor and Social Security at Soochow University, China from 2010 to 2014. Following my undergraduate studies, I was awarded the Scholarship for Overseas Students (2014) from the University of York and completed an MA in Social Research.

My PhD research is to investigate the two-child policy in China and its potential influences on the young adults who are also known as ‘the one-child generation’.

Population Policy, Gender Studies, Social Welfare, Social Insurance
