I am a postgraduate research student in Sociology, Social Policy and Criminology. I am researching the topic of Urbanisation and Waterfront regeneration.

Prior to starting my PhD in September 2014, I completed my undergraduate in Sociology, Kirikkale University (Turkey) and MA in Urban History, at University of Leicester.

Research interests

I am interested and concerned about urbanisation, regeneration, transformation, waterfront regeneration, neoliberalism, culture, identity and individualism.

Working title: Neoliberal Urbanisation and Individualism: Case of Ocean Village in Southampton.

Supervisors: Dr. Silke Roth and Prof. Derek McGhee
