ESRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow Care Networks in Later Life

I have conducted anthropological fieldwork in both Indonesia and Thailand. Early field research was carried out with indigenous forest dwelling people (and resettled peoples) in both countries. My research has focused on state-marginal ethnic group relations. My main interests have been in medical anthropology particularly in relation to traditional healers. I also held a short post-doctoral post for initial research related to the history of psychiatry in Indonesia. A recent three year research project was focused on Industrial (lead) pollution in Thailand. Finally another earlier research project I was funded for was related to political violence and ethnic relations in the South of Thailand.
