Research interests

Tim’s research is focused on the theory of social and economic networks and the applications of this theory in microeconomics and macroeconomics. Examples include the application of network theory to economics of culture, bargaining, industrial economics, environmental economics, and stock markets. Tim’s research shows that with the help of networks it is possible to explain economic phenomena such as the persistence of cultural traits, differences in bargaining outcomes, incentives to invest in R&D and the stability of international environmental agreements.
