Dr Yidi Sun is a Teaching Fellow in Economics at the University of Southampton. She completed her PhD in Economics at the University of Bath following a master degree in Economics and Finance.

Her main research interests in fields of Financial Economics, Corporate Finance and Behavioural Economics. She is also excited to exploring other interesting research areas, such as corporate social responsibility and gender equality.

She has worked as a Tutor for Pathway to Bath Programme, mainly focusing on Microeconomics. Since 2017, She has been a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Department of Economics, University of Bath, mainly focusing on Econometrics for Finance, Economic Data Analysis and Introduction to Econometrics.

Her research explores the determinants and consequences of risk management under imperfect markets. It aims to provide an evidence base for investors, creditors and regulators in emerging markets to promote the liberalisation of the financial markets and further develop the flexibility of the exchange rate regimes.
