Yazhen Yang currently works as a Teaching Fellow at the Department of Gerontology, University of Southampton.

I joined the Department of Gerontology in 2019, and I teach and co-convene Quantitative Research Methods (DL) module and other modules, eg. Ageing, Health and Well-Being.

I have a BSc in Public Administration (Particularly in Human Resources), an MSc in Gerontology from the University of Southampton, an Mphil in Social Protection from Xiamen University, and a PhD in Gerontology from the University of Southampton. The title of my PhD project was Intergenerational Relations: The Changing Pattern of Economic, Social and Psychological Transfers within Chinese Families (analysing the Chinese Health and Retirement Longitudinal Survey using Stata).
