Cutting tax evasion in Hungary

Mirco Tonin's investigation, 'Reducing undeclared employment in Hungary', recommends ways of reducing the size of the country's largely untaxed informal economy.

Mirco's report investigated the impact on undeclared work of policies which establish 'minimal thresholds' in the fiscal declaration, such as the minimum wage. The results of the study were presented to policymakers in a conference in Budapest.
