CRA staff participate in conference on Moving the Middle to the Forefront: Re-Visiting the Second Epidemiological Transition
Dr Aravinda Guntupalli attended a two-day conference organised by the University of South Carolina in Columbia on April 18th -19th 2011.
The central theme of this conference focused on addressing the causes and consequences of the second transition through an interdisciplinary integration of skeletal, archaeological, biochemical and historical evidence. Dr Guntupalli looked at the complexity of the second epidemiological transition in India using anthropometric data of Indians during the 19th and 20th centuries.
