An event by Chair of the ESRC Methods and Infrastructure Committee

David Walker is chair of the ESRC Methods and Infrastructure Committee and a member of the ESRC Council. He formerly chaired the Information Committee and is a member of its Future of the UK and Scotland Advisory Group.

David is a journalist by background, who began his career with The Times Higher Education Supplement and then became chief leader writer for The Independent and editor of the Guardian's Public magazine. He was managing director, communications and public reporting for the Audit Commission. David is also part time director of getstats, the Royal Statistical Society's outreach programme, a non-executive director of the CNWL NHS Foundation Trust and a trustee of the Franco-British Council.
