The role of community-based initiatives in energy saving

The Research Councils UK (RCUK) Energy and Communities programme has awarded Social Sciences £900k for experimental research to understand the impact of community interventions on domestic energy use.

The principal investigator is Professor Graham Smith (Politics and International Relations). Co-investigators are Dr Milena Buchs (Sociology and Social Policy), Dr Nicholas Woodman (Civil Engineering and the Environment), Dr. Clare Saunders (Politics and International Relations), Dr Patrick James (Civil Engineering and the Environment) and Dr Nicholas Bardsley, School of Agriculture, Policy and Development, University of Reading.
