The University of Birmingham, in partnership with the University of Southampton, hosts the Third Sector Research Centre (TSRC). The Centre is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the Government’s (former) Office of the Third Sector (OTS) and the Barrow Cadbury Trust.
It is dedicated to world class research that analyses, maps and develops further understanding of the sector. The Centre Director is Professor Pete Alcock (Birmingham University) and Professor John Mohan (Sociology & Social Policy, Southampton University) is Deputy Director.
