Distinguished Lectures throughout the summer period

The School of Health Sciences is holding a series of Distinguished Lectures throughout the summer period with several emminent overseas speakers giving talks on their areas of clinical speciality.   One lecture in particular may be of interest to staff within your department and I would be grateful if you could distribute the information on our behalf.   The lecture is entitled "Assessing sensory motor functions with haptic interfaces" and will be given by Gabriel Baud-Bovy, PhD, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Psychology of the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University in Milan.   Gabriel Baud-Bovy is a computer scientist by training, but his research into sensorimotor and perceptual hand function encompasses neuroscience, rehabilitation and psychology.  Gabriel's research also focusses on the behavioural and physiological aspects of robots in rehabilitation.  His lecture will therefore be of interest to a wide range of academics and clinicians.. The lecture will be held in Building 45, Room 0045 between 12.45pm and 1.45pm on Thursday 24 June.
