SoNG is involved in a local project

SoNG is involved in a local project to improve the links among clinical services, public health, primary care, government agencies, policy makers and researchers in the field of alcohol research. The project, the Wessex Alcohol Research Collaboration  WARC was launched in October 2009 by Dr Julia Sinclair, Dr Bina Nausheen and colleagues. The interests of the group span research aimed to understand fundamental aspects of how alcohol affects brain function using molecular genetic and biochemical approaches through to those directly engaged in the treatment of alcohol dependency. Importantly it involves a panel of lay experts who are actively engaged in formulating the research agenda.
