Event details

Ben MacArthur from the IfLS and Lecturer in Mathematics in the Life Sciences will lead the first Biomed Science Forum for the current academic year on November 2nd at 4pm in IDS seminar room. Ben's title is: "Dissecting mouse embryonic stem cell heterogeneity" Please add this session to your diary and make every effort to attend. Getting considered feedback on planned grant applications is critical in increasing chances of later funding. As you will know, these are designed to help staff prepare and shape grant applications in the biomed area by leading a discussion for around 15 min (no slides, just whiteboard) followed by informal discussion by the group present to advise on the science, collaborators, feasibility, whatever.

We know from past experience that presenting your grant plan at a Forum increases your success rate. We just consider one grant plan per session over an hour, plus refreshments.
Please pass on this email to anyone you think would like to participate. Normally the group would be any research/academic staff above PhD level. The help and support you might get could be invaluable in securing funding.
