Event details

'Operation Yewtree; Grip and Good Governance’ is an examination of how the police and NSPCC managed the UK’s highest profile investigation of this millennium. The ramifications persist to this day with ONS recording an 87% increase in the reporting of rape since October 2012. Former Commander, Peter Spindler who led this complex and challenging operation will take you behind the scenes to explain the governance structures, dilemmas, challenges and how the team managed to maintain an effective victim focus through engagement with a complex set of stakeholders. He will conclude with an analysis of the so called ‘Yewtree Effect’ and what it means for British society today.
