Speaker information

Dr A.M Viens,Associate Professor in Law within Southampton Law School at the University of Southampton. I joined the Law School at Southampton in 2013. I previously held a post-doctoral fellowship in Germany and teaching positions at Oxford University and King's College London. I have degrees in philosophy and law from the Universities of Toronto, Oxford and London. My main areas of research and teaching focus on ethics, legal theory and public policy, especially public health ethics and law. I also have a particular interest in the application and translation of ethical considerations into regulation, guidance and training for practitioners and researchers working in public health, global health and emergency/disaster management.
