Staff Party 2019

Q When will the party be?

The party will be held on Wednesday 3 July between 15:00 - 17:00.

Q Who is invited to the staff party?

A The Staff Party is for staff only. We regret we are unable to cater for staff partners and children as this is an occasion to socialise with colleagues from across the University.

Q What do I need to bring to the staff party?

A Help us to reduce the amount of paper at our events, if you have registered in advance you do not need to bring a print out of your ticket just your ID card or show the QR code on your phone.

Q What should staff wear?

A Colleagues who usually dress formally for work can choose the option to ‘dress down’ in more casual clothes for the day for the party.

Q What food and drink will be served at the staff party?

A To tie in with the 1919 theme, you will receive a token to exchange for traditional cake, ice cream and an alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink. Any staff with specific dietary requirements should note this when registering.

Q Can staff travel for free on the Uni-link buses?

All staff will be entitled to free bus travel on all Uni-link services on Wednesday 3 July by simply showing your staff ID card to the bus driver. Without a staff ID card the usual rate will be charged.

Q Will the event go ahead if there is bad weather?

A Yes, a wet weather plan will be in place for the day. The party will be hosted undercover in several marquees on the front lawns of Highfield Campus and in the Staff Club areas.

Q If staff don’t want to come to the event can they go home early instead?

A Staff that do not attend the party are required to treat it as a normal working day. Any special situations should be discussed with a line manager.
