A successful 2-day student-led conference, "Advances in High Energy Physics and Cosmology" took place at the University of Southampton from 21 to 23 March 2018, sponsored by SEPnet (South East Physics Network) for PhD students and postdoctoral researchers in the UK.

The workshop was proposed and chiefly organised by Simon King from the SHEP (Southampton High Energy Physics) group and Sonali Mohapatra and Jack Setford, from the University of Sussex, with help from GRADnet staffmember Cristobel Soares-Smith and advice from Professor Stefano Moretti.

The workshop had 40 participants and 8 keynote speakers, Kostas Skenderis (Southampton), Stephen West (Royal Holloway), Pasquali Di Bari (Southampton), Helvi Witek (KCL), Francesco Shankar (Southampton), Frank Deppisch (UCL), Christopher Berry (Birmingham) and Mark Hindmarsh (Sussex), who discussed a range of topics including holographic cosmology, dark matter, leptogenesis, and gravitational waves.

In addition to the keynote speakers, there were 15 talks from PhD students and post-docs, all covering a broad range of topics from experimental to formal topics.

A summary of the conference, along with downloadable PDF files of the presentations can be found here.
