College student meets Nobel laureate Rainer Weiss
Patrick Sear, a seventeen year old student from Richard Taunton College, completed a seven-week summer placement at the STAG Research Centre and wrote a research paper on gravitational waves.
He was then invited to attend the public STAG lecture delivered by Rai Weiss on 03rd October and met with him afterwards to talk about his paper. Patrick said meeting Rai Weiss was an absolute honour and he plans to pursue a physics related career after college.
