Title: Compact stars made of holographic QCD matter

Abstract: The gauge/gravity duality provides powerful first principle techniques to build models for QCD matter beyond nuclear saturation density. In this talk I will present a realistic holographic model for QCD and some of its predictions for the properties of rapidly rotating neutron stars (arXiv:2009.10731) and binary neutron star mergers (arXiv:1908.03213) obtained from numerical relativity simulations.
