Policy and Processes for Assessment at the University of Southampton

Each Programme of Study (course) will use a variety of assessments in order to judge learning outcomes, including essays, written examinations, group work, dissertations and projects, and others. Programme Creation and the subsequent reviews will determine what type of assessment and the weighting contributing to the final award is appropriate.
