If you are:
• enrolled at our Dalian Campus AND
• coming to the UK as part as of a collaborative programme AND
• you require a visa to study in the UK
then it is important that you apply for your visa in good time.
Please find below, a step-by-step guide on what you need to do and when you need to do it so that you can get your visa to be able to travel to the UK to start your programme of study on time.

Review the documents that you will need to make your visa application. The most common reason for refusal is funds. Please ensure that you are able to evidence that you have access to the required funds. Refer to UKVI guidance on TB screening . |

CAS questionnaire Visa application |
Provided that you have received confirmation that you are allowed to proceed to study in the UK then complete and return a CAS questionnaire .
Start preparing your documents/application.

CAS statement Visa application |
You will receive your CAS statement in early July (provided that you have completed and returned the CAS questionnaire). Using our webpages for guidance, submit your visa application by the end of July. Remember to select the University of Southampton as the collection point for your Biometric Residence Permit (your visa); our Alternative Collection Location code is 2HE382. |
August | Preparing for arrival | Check our 'Welcome' website. |
September | Arrival in Southampton | Attend induction events and complete your right to study check. |
