Courses at degree level (Bachelor's) and above: you will not normally need to provide evidence of your academic qualifications when you apply for your Student visa because the University of Southampton is a Higher Education Provider with a track record of compliance.
However, you should prepare your qualifications and certified translations if they are not in English or Welsh before you apply for your visa because the caseworker deciding your application may request these and can refuse your application if you cannot provide them.
Courses below degree level: you must provide all academic qualifications listed on your CAS and certified translations if they are not in English or Welsh when you apply for your Student visa.

To apply for a Student visa, you need to prepare enough money to pay your tuition fees and living costs while you are studying in the UK. This is in addition to the cost of applying for a Student visa.
Who needs to evidence funds?
Unless you are from an exempt country:
Students who do not need to evidence funds
If you have been living in the UK with immigration permission for 12 months or more on the date of your Student visa application, you will meet the financial requirement and do not need to show financial evidence.
However, if you have received financial sponsorship from a Government or international scholarship agency covering tuition fees and living costs within the 12 months before you apply for your Student visa, you need written consent to the visa application from your Governemtn or scholarship agency.
Students applying for a Student visa as a Student Union Sabbatical Officer, will meet the financial requirement and do not need to show financial evidence.

If you are applying outside the UK from a country where a Tuberculosis (TB) test certificate is mandatory, you must provide a valid test certificate with your Student visa application. The TB test must be taken at an approved clinic.
