You Said: Students have a variety of working environments that suit them best, so new types of spaces should be developed to help all students find a space for them.

We Did: Over summer 2015, the library undertook a project with Estates and the Humanities Faculty to remodel the Language Resource Centre and the Avenue Library. The new Library & Learning Commons provides more study space including bookable group areas and quiet study rooms as well as new services such as holds and ILL delivery from Hartley.

Also over summer, Hartley installed a number of desks for use while you stand, on Levels 1, 4 and 5. Some of these desks are power-enabled so that you can use your laptop or mobile device.
