Improving timings of placements for Podiatry students

Published: 6 January 2016

You Said: We would like more notice of placement allocation and a smaller gap between the last clinical placement and the completion of the programme.

We Did: The normal notice period for placement allocation is 4 weeks, but we are have endeavoured to increase this to 6 weeks for the majority of placements.

Also: As part of the design of new curriculum (C2015), the placement component in the 3rd year is situated in the final 10 weeks of the programme. This allows for a smooth transition into clinical practice.
