Helping Centre for Innovation and Leadership students socialise

Published: 6 January 2016

You Said: There was limited time and space to meet up with other postgraduate researchers and staff.

We Did: We now have a newly decorated PGR Common form that has flexible space so you break from work, use the space to hold journal clubs, research meetings or practice a viva or presentations.

We also restructured our schedules to ensure that they activities rotate around different working days, making it easier for part-time doctoral students to attend PGR events.

We also now usually have two PGR activities per month – one is a social ‘drop-in’ and one a more academic PGR discussion forum with time for discussion and debate with other students.
