About the project

The Kaganovich lab studies the basic mechanisms of stress adaptation in cells, from yeast to mammals. We are especially interested in the role that metabolic regulation plays in stress response and adaptability to new conditions.

Our group has multidisciplinary interests in:

  • fungal stress response and drug resistance
  • neuronal metabolism
  • metabolic interactions between microbes and human tissues

You will work on a project investigating the mechanisms of fungal drug resistance using the following techniques:

  • molecular biology
  • biochemistry
  • metabolomics
  • proteomic analysis
  • high resolution imaging
