Workshop 2

Sharing and collaborating

SUPL teachers shared resources they had found particularly helpful.  We explored ways to work with sentences and short texts.  There were some useful examples of learning sentence patterns with word cards (including conjunctions).  Children were encouraged to examine the written form of text by using highlighted word endings to draw attention to grammatical information about gender and plurals.  They had also been learning about word classes through the use of shapes and colours.  Finally, we discussed French and Spanish cross-curricular texts and how these might be exploited in KS2 classrooms.  Find out more here!
