Sustainability Action

Who can apply

Any current student or staff member at the University of Southampton can apply for a Sustainability Action Award.

Winners of the 2014 awards

Recognising individuals

The awards recognise one individual student and one individual staff member for their dedication and contribution to sustainability. This could be through their research, an innovative teaching module, or an initiative to improve sustainability on campus. The awards don't just recognise university-related activities; if you're volunteering in your local community then we want to give you the recognition you deserve. Alternatively you can nominate someone who deserves recognition for their work or volunteering championing sustainability.

Recognising teams

Sustainability work is often a team effort. There are three awards recognising collaborative efforts for sustainability: for student groups; staff groups; and student-staff partnerships. If your team has addressed sustainability - whether it's through an implementing changes to improve the University's sustainability, research into a sustainability challenge, or volunteering to make a difference to the local community - then don't miss out on the opportunity to be recognised for your efforts.
