SUSU is hiring a new Sustainability Manager
The University of Southampton Students' Union is hiring a new Sustainability Manager. Apply before 10am on the 21st October 2013 to be considered for this exciting new role.
The main purpose of the role is:
- To manage the new BEES project
- Manage the new Sustainability Team
SUSU's new Sustainability department has been created in order to deliver the BEES (Business Ethics and Environmental Students) project and also in relation to organisational change which has led to the creation of 8 zones focused on priority areas of work within SUSU: Education, Sustainability, External Communities, Sport, Student Life, Creative Industries, Democracy and Student Communities.
This newly restructured department consists of a Sustainability Manager and a Sustainability Assistant and will work in partnership with the elected officers to:
- Deliver the BEES programme
- Support and deliver the new work and activities from the Sustainability Zone
- Be the contact for all sustainability enquiries
All of the above will require an and flexible approach to duties and a willingness to support each other throughout the departments in order to deliver the overall aims of the Membership and Community Engagement section.
This role sits within the Membership and Community Engagement section of SUSU which exists to develop engagement with students; enhancing their experience at the University of Southampton by supporting extra-curricular opportunities, providing independent advice and information, and facilitating campaigning for improvements in their lives. All of this involves the closest working relationship with all of our elected officers.
